Decogirl™ was founded in 1998 and launched on-line in 2002. Born out of a life long passion for antiques and a love of the hedonistic Art Deco period, founder Wanda has built up a passionate following of like minded enthusiasts, collectors and individualists just looking for something 'different'. Decogirl™ now has customers in over 40 countries and has supplied jewellery and objects for numerous magazine features, advertising campaigns, photo shoots and films. The company is based in London and Hertfordshire.

Wanda studied Art in Bradford funding her studies by working weekends for an Antiques Dealer in Haworth, home of the Brontes. After a career working as a photographer and graphic artist she became a full time Antiques Dealer in 1985, soon specialising in C20th objet and ceramics from London's Portobello Road. It was during this period she became known for the bold Art Deco and Modernist jewellery she always wore and was constantly asked by customers to find similar pieces for them. Through the 1990's jewellery became the name of the game and towards the end of the decade Decogirl was born. As well as regular visits to Europe, Wanda has a team of contacts (or treasure hunters as she likes to call them) constantly on the look out for that 'special piece'. "Many items are placed with customers before making it onto the site", she says. "That is unless I can't resist the temptation to wear them myself for a while!", she laughs.
