Lea Stein
was born in Paris in 1931 and began designing her now famous jewellery
when her husband Fernand discovered a process of laminating rhodoid to
create a unique range of patterns and colours. Initially designing
buttons for the fashion industry, by 1969 she expanded into creating a
range of jewellery and accessories which included brooches, necklaces,
bracelets earrings, combs and mirrors. The company supplied shops,
boutiques and department stores until 1981 when due to a downturn in
business they ceased trading. Several years later the company re opened
introducing a new set of designs including Gomina the sleeping cat and
Ric the terrier. The rest, as they say, is history. Lea Stein jewellery is
now known and loved by fans and collectors worldwide. Several new
designs are introduced each year.
We have been dealing in Lea Stein jewellery
on an international level for around 12 years and have sold
to collectors in over 30 different countries. The Lea Stein jewellery we
sell comes mainly from private
collections worldwide. All brooches have the signature 'V' shaped pin*
marked 'Lea Stein Paris' with the exception of very early brooches which
can be unsigned & very small ones which have a tiny straight signed pin. |
