Hôtel Amour
Located in south Pigalle (an up-and-coming area known as SoPi), the
Amour is a low budget, no frills boutique hotel partly owned by the
artist André, one the proprietors of the nightclub Le Baron. Each of
it's 20 rooms are individually furnished with retro furniture and
Terry
Richardson's erotic art photographs (Batman and Robin in crotchless
costumes in room 105 is perhaps the most extreme - and amusing!). All
the corridors are painted black. There are no TV's, phones or mini-bars
in the rooms (too distracting for lovers it is said) but there are Ipod
connections in every room and a good if not noisy restaurant plus a
pleasant courtyard garden where breakfast is served on fine days. Rates:
