About the designer Founded by Italian born Gustavo Trifari in the early part of the 20th century, the company is now one of the best known of all costume jewellery designers & manufacturers. Joined by head designer Alfred Philippe from the 1930's onwards, Trifari flourished producing creations for numerous Broadway musicals. Later clients include Lady Eisenhower and more recently Madonna. Creating a hugely diverse number of styles, the company was bought by Liz Claiborne in 2000 and is now part of the Monet group |
